I'm currently in the Philippines basking in language barriers and drowning in insecurities...however it's still really fun. I'm enjoying myself despite the shortcomings of being fat and ugly in a place where everyone and their stray animals are bone skinny. I hope that by the end of my two week trip I'll be able to at least understand more than I did when I first step foot on the island.
Anyway we start our visual journey with a picture of Detroit's airport. (Didn't really care about catch the name as I was too busy focusing on getting myself some deliciousness from Starbucks):
Lol they had a Starbucks right next to our gate...talk about luck. I didn't eat breakfast that day so I was starving when we got to Detroit...little did I know...we'd be eating a LOT on the way to Nagoya and Manila...totally gained 5-10 lbs just on that flight alone. Jeebus...it was delicious though...even better the meal I had in first class...hear that "meal"...not "meals"...when I went to Japan.
They had an indoor....thinger...I'm totally drawing a blank...I can't remember what they're called to save the life of me...But it was cool.
More pictures of the airport...Anyway, we went to Nagoya, Japan as our transfer site...though we really didn't change planes..it was more of a pitstop. ^^ I FINALLY used a traditional Japanese toilet for the first time (even though I went to the bathroom in Japan when I went, I only used a Western one since that was in our hotel room) All the Filipino ladies didn't want to use it lol.
This is Baguio..outside my Kuya M's apartment..He has a very nice view...
The walk way leading up to my Kuya's apartment (open screen)
Yellow building lolMore of the view around Kuya's apartment. I'll have to take a picture of the inside before we go to stay with my other Kuya. ^^
So I thought baby Mason Moon was the cutest baby ever...however I've been proven wrong...
She is the cutest baby I've ever seen! She is just waay too adorable. She never cries...even if she's not comfortable, she doesn't cry. I love her dearly *Auntie bias* Ahhh~ she almost makes me want to have a baby...almost. Ahh...
My Kuya W (putting more minutes on my phone and feeding the baby...yay multitasking) and my other niece, Aliyah. I can't believe she is already nine. I remember when she was teething..and when her older brother, Ashley, was just up to my hip. Heh, they don't remember me and so they probably feel awkward (as do I, as do I) but that's understandable..I haven't seen them since 2002. Ah, how time flies.
So today we (Ma, Ate, Kuya M, Kuya W, Ate z, Aliyah and Ash) all went to SM Baguio to have dinner and well, prepare for my Kuya M's wedding by buying shoes and some clothing articles.
We went to eat a pizza place inside the mall called Shakey's (I DIDN'T TAKE PICTURES OF THE FOOD...HOMG!) we had an angus steak pizza. Quite interesting.
Kuya W, Ate z and Aliyah as we all wait for our food....Ash was sitting next to Ali but he was sleepy so I didn't want to bother him ^^
Well, that's all...I'll probably do another bulk update in the next couple of days...I'm sleepy now and I have a dentist appointment at 9:30 am...so until then
-C
PS: My Kuya M has Arirang, NHK and MYX....ah...I love Filipino tv. Oh, and 4Minute is coming to the Philippines only 4/5 days after I leave...seriously...talk about bad timing.
